FREDDIE LORICK JR. Campus Minister Freddie Lorick has been the campus minister for Coogs for Christ since September of 2024. He has been in ministry for more than 20 years and has served a youth minister or campus minister in South Carolina, Oklahoma and Texas. Before going into ministry he was in the United States Airfare for 10 years. Freddie and his wife Patrice have 1 son and 2 daughters. STEVE SANDIFER CCSF Board President Steve Sandifer served the Southwest Central Church of Christ as a minister for 37 years and has been involved with the Student Foundation most of that time. A graduate of Abilene Christian University (MA), Steve and his wife Jo, have two sons with two wonderful daughters-in-law and 6 grandchildren. Southwest Central has supported the UH ministry from its inception. TERRY MONTGOMERY CCSF Vice President Terry is a Senior Investment Analyst at Northmarq Capital and serves as an elder at the Memorial Church of Christ where he also has led the missions committee and participated in mission trips to Ukraine. MARK FLIPPIN CCSF Board Secretary Mark worked in the insurance industry for 41 years before retiring in 2021. He lives in League City with wife Laura, and attends Southeast Church of Christ, where he serves as an elder. He is grateful for numerous mentors in his life who have taken the time to envision him at his best and show him the way there with their example and encouragement. Holding an MBA from the University of Houston, and retired from telecom engineering and from education, he serves in church leadership and other ministries. KIRK BLACKARD CCSF Board Member Kirk Blackard is retired from a career with Shell Oil Company. He is Chairman of the Board of Bridges To Life, a faith based prison ministry operating throughout Texas and in several other states. MIKE AVERY CCSF Board Member Mike Avery has served as the Youth and Family Minister at Memorial Church of Christ in Houston, Texas for the past 26 years since graduating from Abilene Christian University in May of 1999. Mike and his wife, Melissa, have two children in college, Matthew and Meredith.
